Camille Romanet: The unconventional path of a passionate professional
Camille Romanet is the type of person who follows her instincts, embraces unexpected turns, and turns every experience into a learning opportunity. As the Accommodation Manager for Fahrenheit Seven Courchevel and Casa Santini x Roc Seven, she embodies a vision of hospitality rooted in experience, emotion, and human connection. Here is a look back at the unconventional journey that led her to discover her calling.
A thirst for adventure
Originally from Morbihan, Camille had a brilliant academic career, including a preparatory class for business school. But while she excelled in her studies, she hadn't yet found her path. Rather than continuing on to business school, she followed an impulse and moved to the United States to work as an au pair in a small town in Oregon.
It was an unforgettable year of travel and total immersion in American culture. Now bilingual, she extended her experience in Spain before returning to France to study communications through a work-study program at Michelin.
At just 22, she joined a wire reinforcement plant for heavy-duty tires in Vannes. It was a male-dominated environment where she discovered management and internal communications, guided by an inspiring mentor.

Two years later, she joined the group's press office in Paris, followed by the influencer strategy team at the Michelin Guide. She had some remarkable experiences there—traveling, attending culinary events, and sharing extraordinary moments with Michelin-starred chefs—but she missed the team spirit she had enjoyed so much. In 2020, she made another pivot, returning to Brittany to join a company specializing in the construction and equipment of livestock buildings. It was an enriching role that once again introduced her to a new industry.
The Fahrenheit Seven encounter
The spark for the hospitality industry came from a joke between her and her partner, Rémi:
“Come on, let’s go do some seasonal work!”
In December 2021, they took the leap. Without any specific experience, Camille answered an ad for the Fahrenheit Seven in Val Thorens and landed a front desk position. She arrived in late December, right in the middle of a booking frenzy, and had to learn everything on the fly. After a grueling first day, she had her doubts… but she persevered.
She quickly fell in love with the profession. She realized that every detail matters and committed herself fully to creating unique moments. “The front desk is a way to make a guest’s stay just a little bit better. We can truly change their experience, and for me, that is deeply meaningful.” Once the season ended, she continued her journey with Fahrenheit Seven: the Ferret, then Courchevel and Porto-Vecchio, where she became the Accommodation Manager.

Hospitality as a calling
From the moment guests arrive in their room until they check out, Camille ensures everything is perfect. What is she passionate about? "The contact with guests, the ability to create experiences from A to Z." She likes to define herself as a facilitator and an enhancer of experiences.
Every day, she passes on the vision that inspired her when she first discovered the world of reception. A far cry from "old-school" habits, Camille advocates for management based on listening and involvement. In her hiring, she looks for "soul" above all else, rather than technical experience. "My goal is to identify potential Fahrenheit Seven profiles and help them grow and flourish professionally while having a great time."

Today, Fahrenheit Seven is much more than just a job: "It's my second family!" She finds the same team spirit and mutual support there that she loved so much when she first started at Michelin. "The guys in the kitchen are like my big brothers, Adeline is my sister... We spend most of our time together, so we make something incredible out of it." She also forms a professional and personal duo with her partner Rémi, who is now the operations manager. "Working together is a strength: he's my best friend and he trusts me."
The future
Within the Fahrenheit Seven family, Camille has found new sources of inspiration. Starting with the group's co-founder, Madame Vidoni, who embodies equality in the workplace. "Here, being a woman doesn't mean you stay in the background. If you have a goal, you can reach it—being a woman is not a barrier. And I aspire to be one of those who inspire." For the past four years, Fahrenheit Seven has helped her grow. "Every time I needed something new, I was offered an opportunity." Her ambition? To continue evolving, without ever losing the passion that drives her. And if her instinct whispers a new challenge to her one day, there is no doubt she will know how to listen.
