Staff profile
Adrien Sciascia
A mountain enthusiast
Adrien Sciascia is the Ski Boutique Manager for the Fahrenheit Seven hotels in Val Thorens and Courchevel. Originally from Haute-Savoie, he developed a passion for the mountains and skiing from a very young age. Based in the Tarentaise since 2007, Adrien joined Maison °F7 last August.
A rich and varied career
As a student, Adrien worked in the resort of Combloux for the "Technicien du Sport" chain. He then stayed in the ski world by joining Quechua Wedze in Passy, where he became part of the product testing team – a rewarding experience for a student.
He then moved to La Plagne and joined a small group comprising a sports shop, an events company, and a ski and mountain sports school. He started out in event coordination for groups of 15 to 200 people, then moved into managing sports shops.
Over 17 years, the group grew considerably – and so did Adrien. Ultimately, he ran operations for six sports shops, including several brands, Skimium and France's very first DECATHLON MONTAGNE, as well as the events business and mountain sports.

A dad with many passions
Sporty, competitive and passionate, Adrien puts skiing at the top of his favourite activities. Over time, he has also developed an interest in mountaineering and trail running. On a personal level, he shares a love of van travel with his wife and two daughters, with destinations such as Norway and the Peloponnese on the horizon.

A new adventure
For several months now, Adrien has played a key role in optimising our Ski boutiques. With a new layout and a selection of equipment for all levels from brands such as Fischer, Head and Salomon, the Ski boutiques at °Fahrenheit Seven Courchevel and °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens put the emphasis on personalised advice. The team of skimen is trained to guide every guest on the snow, from choosing equipment to looking after it. New this season: three-step bootfitting to improve comfort on the slopes. Each boutique has a maintenance workshop to extend the life of your skis, with premium finishing options for enthusiasts.

Everything you need to pamper your favourite skis, from a simple sharpening with the grinder to a full renovation with base repair and stone grinding. For skiers chasing peak performance, an entirely hand-applied ceramic finish is also on offer.
True to his values, Adrien has chosen to champion "made in France", with a selection of Dynastar skis made in Sallanches and available to rent. The PineToPalm brand also offers neck warmers, beanies, hats, and caps, along with the iconic Soleil Noir sunscreen. And let's not forget Julbo sunglasses, goggles, and helmets, plus Thermic accessories—two brands recently in the spotlight thanks to their partnership with YouTuber Inoxtag for his Kaizen project to climb Everest.
Pro tips!
On average, a day of skiing lasts 4 to 8 hours—that's as long as a marathon! Adrien shares his five best practices for hitting the slopes in the best possible conditions.
#1 The three-layer rule: a Merino wool base layer for warmth, a synthetic mid-layer to wick away moisture, and a waterproof, breathable outer layer like Gore-Tex.
#2 To prevent burns, never apply lip balm that doesn't have sun protection.
#3 Whether you wear goggles or a visor helmet, use a photochromic lens to protect your eyes and improve your visibility on the slopes.
#4 Never size up for your ski boots.
#5 Wear a helmet at all times, ideally one equipped with MIPS technology.
