A tour of Corsican wines

Discover Corsican wines and grape varieties

Welcome to the Isle of Beauty, where Corsica's vineyards reveal flavours found nowhere else in the world, with native grape varieties and estates we adore!

Niellucciu: the Elegance of the Terroir

The most emblematic grape variety (35% of Corsican vineyards), also known as Sangiovese. Aromas of red fruit, spice and undergrowth. Our favourite wines: Oriu Rouge (Domaine Torracia), Le "J" Granajolo Rouge.

Sciaccarellu: Mediterranean Freshness

A quintessentially Corsican black grape (~600 ha), with aromas of wild berries, pepper and flowers. Our favourite wines: Suale Rouge (Domaine Alzipratu), Sciaccarellu (Domaine Granajolo).

Vermentinu: the Sparkle of White Wines

The king of Corsican white grapes, with aromas of white flowers and white-fleshed fruit. Our favourite wines: Lume (Domaine Alzipratu), Oriu Blanc (Domaine Torracia).

Muscat à Petits Grains: Corsican Sweetness

A white grape with a pronounced floral aroma, often made into a vin doux naturel or a sweet wine. Our favourite wine: Muscat Petits Grains Mlle D.

More Grape Varieties to Discover

Carignan, Cinsault, Barbarossa, Minustellu, Carcajolu Nero. Our favourite wines: Torracia Rouge and Rosé, Minustellu (Domaine Granajolo), Fiuri (Domaine Alzipratu).

Come and taste these wines by booking a table at the Roc Seven Porto-Vecchio restaurant!
