Hosting the Ski World Championships in your own resort is a once-in-a-generation event. The context: a global event, a transformed resort

In February 2023, Courchevel and Méribel hosted the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. For this edition, °F7 Courchevel served as a base for several delegations. The hotel was fully privatised, and a rate agreement was put in place with the organisers in line with the hotel's standing.

The challenge: orchestrating several national teams under one roof

Each national team arrives with its own rituals, its own technical staff, its own training schedules and logistical requirements. Managing several complex rooming lists, and giving each delegation its own space and privacy while keeping the hotel running smoothly, calls for meticulous organisation.

Full privatisation to create a dedicated environment — The hotel is closed to individual guests for the entire duration of the championships. Each team has its own space, with rooms allocated as needed for single, twin or triple occupancy.

Secure storage for sports equipment — Skis, race suits and technical competition equipment are stored and secured in the hotel's dedicated spaces, in coordination with each delegation's technical staff.

Multi-partner coordination — °F7 works hand in hand with Spartner, the Courchevel Tourist Office and the championships' organising teams to synchronise transfers, meal slots and access to the training sites.
