7 good reasons to try spring skiing at °F7 Val Thorens

Spring skiing at °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens

Long underrated, spring skiing (from March to May) has plenty going for it. Apart from in high-altitude resorts, the “queen of seasons” is a jealously guarded secret. Here are 7 good reasons to discover the late season at °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens.

1. The temperatures

From March onwards, temperatures soften: a welcome thaw that lets you ski in lighter layers, and halve the size of your suitcase while you’re at it. It’s also the perfect time to top up your tan: the °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens terrace becomes one giant solarium.

2. Longer days

Gone are the 4.30pm sunsets: spring lets you ski with family or friends all day long. No more avoiding certain slopes after 3pm!

3. The snow

A much softer, smoother texture, warmed by the sun, with less risk of icy patches: it’s the ideal time for beginners and children, and for trying something new: freeride, snowshoeing, snowboarding...

4. The crowds

Fewer people on the slopes and on the lifts: in spring, the mood is all about relaxation. It’s also ideal for skiing peacefully as a family and enjoying the Easter holidays in total tranquillity.

5. The atmosphere

The resorts are calmer but certainly not deserted: from March onwards, the festivities come thick and fast. °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens hosts après-ski sessions on the terrace and Seven Party nights with DJs Pedro Winter (26 January), Kavinsky (23 March) and MYD (13 April).

6. The prices

After the December and February peaks, accommodation prices are often lower in March and April. You’ll also find deals on ski passes, lessons and ski schools!

7. The location

At 2,300 metres above sea level, conditions are perfect for skiing until April, and even later: a natural privilege reserved for high-altitude resorts like Val Thorens. °Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens is the ideal base for trying high-altitude skiing.
